Old wood chest with decoupage design of antiqued maps.
Not a very good photo. This is an old chest that I got at an auction for $5.00. The pictures all came from old National Geographic magazines. The maps were torn and the edges burnt then antiqued with burnt umber paint that was mixed with a bit of clear varnish. The background ares were painted with burnt umber, ultramarine blue, gold and copper paint mixed and blended in on the chest itself to give an un-even colour. The chest was then varnished with water based clear varnish. About 50 coats. To find my craft prints on CD, visit
